Consultative Selling in the World of Facilities Management -
The Chesapeake Chapter of IFMA is continuing its commitment to create valuable experiences for our Associate Members. In 2019, we launched a Sales Training Series focusing on Consultative Sales. This is the 3rd and final session of that series in which we will further explore how to build partnerships and long-term customer relationships with Facilities Managers
We will start with a review of the models discussed during Session #1 and #2 before focusing on effectively presenting solutions and ongoing customer support. Once again, the session will combine formal training components and discussions on how to apply these learnings into the world of Facilities Management, including involvement from an actual Professional Member within the Chapter. Gary Pfeifer, CFM, SFP, FMP from Mercy Ridge will be in attendance at this training session to share his insights and perspective.

Gary has been involved in Facilities Management for more than 35 years and has managed an array of facility services at Corporate Facilities, Colleges and Universities and is currently the Director of Facility Services for Mercy Ridge, a 455 unit Senior Living Community in Timonium Maryland. He brings a unique perspective to facilities management as his professional experience has involved providing services from both an in-house team as well as a contracted services partner.
Gary is responsible for providing direction and oversight for facility operations & maintenance, capital improvements & project management, environmental services, landscape services and facility safety. He became a member of the International Facility Management Association’s (IFMA) Chesapeake Chapter in February of 1999 and achieved his CFM designation in April of 2000. After becoming involved in chapter committees, he served on the chapter board for 4 years and then as Chapter President from 2009-2011.
He currently provides teaching services for a variety of groups including local, state, and federal government agencies as well as for programs coordinated by IFMA.
